You know there are also many cases of people who are healthy in such relationships, right, so this could be just one of them? It's good to be vigilant and question significantly large age gap pairings when someone is under 21 or under due to the imbalance of experience and power dynamics. Also, focus that ON REAL LIFE instead of entertaining little fictional cartoons that aren't claiming to be manuals for what a real person should do. You can analyze the plot, the characters, the behaviors etc based on real life values and standards, there's nothing wrong with that, just don't exaggerate or outright manufacture the effect this has on a person writing or reading it.

This depicts a very specific story where both characters had their shortcomings, but neither was manipulated into getting together. Neither was taken advantage of and did something against their will their relationship didn't negatively affect their quality of life/freedom of choice/safety. The younger guy specifically went from a bigoted closeted gay person with internalized homophobia to handling his first love immaturely to the point of stalking and the older person used the opportunity to let him learn more about himself and believed it would allow him to come to terms with his wrongdoings, confess,, apologize and live more genuinely. Which is what happened. The way was unconventional, yeah, but it was dramatized BECAUSE it's fiction.

In NO way is it promoting the normalization of underage or very young people unquestionably getting together with much older folks, where did you even see that... If it makes you uncomfortable, just admit it and move on.

To answer to your stupid answer, anyone under 20 is a child, and even if the 19 years old person was 25, it's still harmful and predatory to date a 39 years old person, as their dynamics are imbalanced.

Instead of prying on children, they should date within their age range.
