Yuzuki had a quiet, dull junior high school life. However, now he's finally made his "debut" upon entering high school. With his new hair, clothes, and attitude, he was able to join the popular group of students, but for some reason, it's his dull classmate Shitara who's popular with the girls. Upon consulting Shitara for advice, Yuzuki tones down his "popular boy" look and stops trying to be someone else. Now feeling more comfortable in his own skin, Yuzuki even allows himself to accept a confession... from Shitara.

This manga is soo nice it’s so nuanced too. There’s the usual trope of mc-gets-flashy-glowup-but-is-overshadowed-by-handsome-male-lead. I still read it cause it looked cute on the cover. Then there’s the usual mc-sees-crush-confess-to-handsome-male-lead. And then the mc gets jealous yadda yadda suddenly handsome male lead confesses to mc or kisses him and mc is like “???” or something like that. I really was expecting that but we got a really nice and not annoying mc and I was really surprised. Also the male lead is not super obvious that he likes mc and he’s not overbearing as well, he’s more concerned about helping mc be happy (and trying to make him fall for him on the side lmfao) The Mc has genuine insecurities that stem from his flashy friends and the male lead helps him with looking more genuine as he wanted him to be but mc because mc is so insecure, he is still comparing himself to his friends. Then there’s the scene where mc finds out how his friends really think about him. His friends genuinely like him and because of the male lead kinda leading to the said event, the mc feels more comfortable and confident with his friendship with his friends. Then there’s the whole potential girlfriend background story which was super heartbreaking. I need that witch who made his potential girlfriend feel super conscious about how they would look to other people. I’m glad they made up and left on no bad terms. The male leads whole standing in this story is also very nice, he’s always there to support mc and is sooo good for him. This story is so cute and it’s super nice to see how all these people connect to mc and eventually clear up anything that left him with several insecurities. My sons Yuzuki, Shitara, and Toyosaki I’ll hold u close in my heart

This one was pretty good i mean half of time uke behaviour was valid changing yourself seme helped him to get to his true self and at the end seme thanking girl uke used to like for turning him down so he got his chance with him since she rejected him for his appearance and seme sisters did best to train him that he end up chosing a man in the end it's good one although yaoi seems baseless to me at this. Thought it would have end with bromance but lot happened in 5 chp. Their height difference is good.

Plain uke who went through an image change in high school hoping to become more popular. Seme knows of him since middle school and wants him to be authentic to himself instead of trying to be someone he’s not. Uke actually has a very likeable character he just needed to break out of his shell

A cute story with a moral lesson as well to be yourself

Honestly I didn't expect to enjoy and like the story to this extent. I like how the message is being true to yourself and that you don't need to change for others. If someone can't accept you the way you are, then they're the ones missing it. Self confidence is something a person needs to continuously work on. I was surprised that his friends actually valued him and were worried about him. Which is great that finally he is enjoying his highschool life, and changed not only his way of thinking but also tries to be more honest with himself. Overall a really cute story.

– imagine extra scenes outside the box—This is true in this Book, as there are scenes transitioned with big gaps, and requires imagination to fill that gap. Otherwise, it'll some sort of confusion (?), or lack of feeling
