With this continuation I finally understand why the ex keeps poking his nose in their business. He’s envious, it shows in what he says to Yutaka at the wedding. It’s clear he’s decided to box himself within social “norms” and is jealous of Minoru and Yutaka for being able to love each other. He’s still a jerk, but I pity him bc there are many people who live this way, lying to themselves to fit within the social standards.

Uke went back home and burned the incense, and he took a small leap off the stairs and time jumped back a few days. The story continues with fate repeating itself so that the Seme keeps dying and the Uke keeps leaping back in time, increasing the height of the jump each time hoping to alter the outcome because he slowly realizes he lives the Seme. Ending, the Uke jumps one last time, all the way from the top of the Tokyo Tower, which sent him back to when he was a child. He continued to live 20-30 years choosing completely life choices to make sure he wouldn’t run into the Seme in hopes that the Seme will avoid the accident and have a happy life.
I cried. You cried. We crode. It’s freaking 2AM and I’m laying in bed dabbing away tears before they hit the pillow! This author is a master at portraying emotions, even in her other works. And for the teacher and his partner, I hope his partner makes it through cancer! Them cuddling in the hospital bed while encouraging the youths to be more brave living their true selves made me SOBBBBBBB
