Made me cried so many times cause I can empathize Mei so much with her life changing and her background story about her father. I did watched the anime after finished reading, and reading the manga made it more understandable what's going on in the anime. The anime is pretty solid and love the voice actors they made to voice the characters too.
~Spoilers~
My only concern was the twins in the later chapters. Do wish there was more of them develop. But it was probably used for getting Mei figure out her career path and Kai love interest more interesting.
"nice men" like him are pathetic. female lead needs to stand up for herself because he's already made the same mistake twice. do not ever settle for a man who apologizes for one thing and does the same goddamm thing again later on. if he can't say no to other people then those other people can have him.
It's been a while since I revisited this. A nostalgic re-read, but it's pretty ok!
Shojou did have the bad habit of cramming so many side characters that don't get good story beats. I barely remember all of them when it came to the final act since I sped read this. In the end everyone got together in some form or another, couldnt care less about some of their romances.
I hasn't lost it's charm with time tho, it's still good, but you know this was a product of the time it was released. Cute couple! One of the best 'tough girl falls in love with playboy-type guys' trope, along with Special A and Maid-sama.
I did not like it Personally I'd never date a guy like him, it's such a hassle dating someone that popular yamato's friend's far better option I'd never be that understanding never I'd have preferred if she broke up with him Maybe she never experienced any love other than familial so she couldn't leave him after experiencing something new and treasured it too much
Omggg such an amazing manga. I read it years ago and it was easily one of the best adult mangas without a bunch of smut (even though I love smut) this one is just great. Amazing plot, character development, lessons.. it’d got it all.
