2nd life is re-encounter between MCs leaves a bad taste in the mouth that made me almost drop the manhua, only reason I continued it is because of the Son reuniting with the reincarnation of his dad and his dad actually considering him his adopted son in return.
Woah also I like how the 2nd life ( Ji Jiu) was firm and unwavering and told the ML that he was wrong and that he forced himself on MC which was very wrong of him and he continuously got hurt because of ML.

It's so bittersweet TT but I'm happy the family is happy. The Emperor was a dick. He knew Shen Jue looked for him for 500 years and what did he do when Shen Jue got up the couraged to hug him even knowing he was not worthy? He pushed him away. I actually like how this ended. At least Shen Jue will be with his family who loves him and will probably reincarnate as their child or something. If Shen Jue stayed with the Emperor he would certainly suffer because of their status. Plus after suffering for so many years he was also tired and the Emperor did nothing to make him feel even a bit of relief. Shen Jue already warned him many times that if he rejected him he will not follow him. He has seen the suffering of his parents and already made his mind. So even if he was in pain he kept his promise to look for the Emperor but what the Emperor gave him after 500 years of longing was a cold hard push. Yes. That's all it took for Shen Jue to destroy his core to leave that world. He had nothing left there and his promise was also fulfilled. Now he'll go to those who will love him unconditionally without testing his love. So. Poor you Emperor but you deserve it. I don't care if you only spent 5 days. You knew full well he spent 500 years to fulfill his promise. You only watched him. When you finally meet you pushed him away. So this ending is satisfactory. Shen Jue goes to meet his Parents in the underworld. There he will be happy. Happy Family of 3

I spend 5 hours reading all the chapters, I never cried this much when reading

That was so heartwarming and also tear-jerking. Mc made a demon snake cultivator of 200 yrs fall in love w him in the first life. Afterwards ml kept searching for mc's reincarnations and living together w him. So for 3 lifetimes they were together but only at the third lifetime, they were able to grow old and die together. The kid they adopted also had his love story together w the emperor on earth and heavens. After his parents died, the kid looked for his soulmate's reincarnation for 500 yrs before finally meeting him again. Turns out the emperor was the heavenly emperor and had been busy w affairs for 5 days(500yrs on earth). When they finally met, the kid hugged him but got pushed away so coldly. In the end, the kid crushed his own mana stone and cs. The emp was a step too late and now the kid has alr reunited w his fam on the other side. Ngl that scene was heartbreaking. Never saw the kid ever live his own life. He always prioritized his parents and even when he was w the emp, he only went to emp if his parents dont need him.

it was interesting and I love snakes, but the uke isn't as smart as I hoped he'd be, and IMO there was 0 reason for the snake seme to even fall for him? It felt unnatural and forced, no build up at all. Now its just getting Boring for me, dropped
