I'm not sure how to feel but I definitely cried so..

the themes and intent was there, but it was poorly executed with the relationships and stereotypes. if there was a point to the age gap relationship with the married man, well, im just not see it. and I'm not gonna act blind to the issues in the story, but simplifying the story a great deal to just incest, pedophilia is self-manifesting what the author is saying. in any case, the mc's internal struggles and process of coming to terms with his sexuality feels realistic and was touching. it might be a bit too melodramatic but he's a high schooler and society in japan frowns upon homosexuality. also, yall being too hard on the girl; she's a high schooler for god's sake

okay so this is balancing on a very fine line of representation and offensiveness. a lot of the issues mentioned are very true in irl as well, but it also seems like an "off" take, like it was a story made for a fujoshi audience (which, it probably was tbh). however the perspective of which they show some things were narrow - the age gap which occurred multiple times, the idea that everyone should like homos which isnt exactly the main point desired, and a lot of confusion on how the mc and the girl were in a relationship but also simply friends but she still shipped him with other guys. some things just felt like an ick factor unnecessary to be mentioned.

Still prefer the novel. It's so realistic that... people can't see it

I have just learned that the author of the novel that this manga is based on has just passed away due to illness :( His name was Naoto Asahara and I have read that the novel is even better than the manga. I will read the manga in the mean time, and I hope he rests in peace; thank you for your work, sensei.

I love the art, but the manga itself isn't the best. There are many questionable choices made, like incest, Mr Fahrenheit being underage, Jun's relationship with the middle aged man, etc. Also, I feel like many of its concepts could be, and have been done better in other works. Overall readable, but not amazing or worth rereading. Pretty meh. There's other better queer works out there, far better than this one.

came here from tiktok lol what i could say is that i think the live action drama made me feel more than the manga i mean both of the leads' acting there was top notch even though i only watched some short clips of the series from tiktok. also, im just glad that there's a hint that miura may date the best friend cause he's such a good guy and i do think they're cute for each other.

anyways the real problem here is that there's so many wtf scenes here than the lgbtq issue that needed to be addressed like i know they acknowledged it but them addressing the problem of being gay shouldn't even be in the same category of pedo, incest, cheating cause that just some fuckery fuck going on here. im just gonna remove that old man from my mind cause he's the one who brought all the messed up issues here
