This is fucked up this fucked me up fuck u... I loved it I had a wonderful time. Is it a flawless depiction of a trans man? No, but it also came out in the 70s so I'm willing to forgive the minor issues that are present. Claude is a very lovely character... I think showing how he moves between different relationships and struggles to find fulfillment in his life is really well done. I also loved that they explicitly said him being trans wasn't because of his relationship with his father or his father being into little boys... I like that they were able to include that trauma without making it the reason for his gender identity. I also thought the way Claude was drawn was very nice. He isn't overly feminine, but there's still a difference between him and the cis male characters. They do a rlly good job making him more androgynous.

This author is literally a master of the craft, I was so heavily invested the entire time, like I personally knew this characters and was hearing the story from the psychologist himself. It's just so well crafted, art wise, story wise, character wise, setting wise, dialogue wise, mood wise, I loved it all. Claud was a wonderful man who kept getting tripped over by love.
