Considering how absolutely blown away I was with both the prequel and the movie, this story falls into some of the pitfalls I have seen with other mangas. Kinda passing over much of the actual communication part for a great part of the story, and then introducing problems that didn't appear before.

In the prequel, we hear them talk about their first time together and preferences, which is honestly needed in these stories. Yet here, it is suddenly revealed that it just hurts because of poor communication despite actually seeking advice. Not to mention they just don't talk about stuff. It is infuriating. Because I really do like them, it just seem that in order for them to avoid actually talking about shit, they are given dumb character flaws like the rapey scene or the lying about being disinherited etc.

Alas, I will keep the prequel and movie close to heart at least

I love it, of course, one of the best. However, I’m saddened by how the original personalities and motivations of the main characters were somewhat ripped out of them. I wish they had focused more on the two of them and their character development. Shun and Mio, know that you are loved — but I’ll pretend this installment never existed .
