Why am I tearful on happy ending man
This was so cute!! A ghost who’s wish is to date a scare actor ( the scare actor who can’t scare)!
My favorite it's really good and sad, I chose to ignore the explanation because I like sad stories so to me they haven't met in this lifetime but who knows maybe they'll meet again.

i feel like this 12 chapters story is equivalent to 1 volume standard BL manga. Author can even do a physical copy of the manhwa if they want to. but i guess if you want to compare to normal length (40+ chapters) manhwa, then it is relatively short I guess.
Anyway, my thought on this. Its "short", sweet and wholesome and shounen ai. suitable for re-read material.

"The things I couldn't say or do before, all of them are becoming my regrets. Regret always lingers with you, there's no way to stop it. But even then, being with him in his last moments... I know that that's the choice I'll regret the least. So I plan to stay by his side even a little bit longer."
This story made me cry like a fucking bitch. Just some serious sobbing in those last two chapters, second last especially.
Maybe this isn't perfect, I can't think of any overt flaws but I'm sure there's stuff to nitpick, but that honestly doesn't matter to me. When a story provokes such intensely strong emotions, that's really all you want. You want a story that's able to wrap its hands around your heart and hold it in a squeeze, and this does exactly that. This is the first time in a while that I've cried so hard that my throat hurt over a BL.
Other authors—even this author with their other work—struggle a lot with the pacing of smaller-scale stories like this where they can only do so much in so few chapters. It's common for authors to speedrun the relationship to the point it rings hollow. This story though should be seen as the gold standard for these fewer-chapter stories. It only has twelve chapters and it uses all of them to their full potential; it feels like this is a plot that naturally fit the amount of chapters it had. It didn't feel rushed, it wasn't something that was just nonstop intense scenes one after the other, it was kind of perfect. There was a natural rise and fall.
The plot is relatively simple and straightforward. A man, Joo Sungwan, is working at a scare attraction in an amusement park that's rumored to be haunted. It turns out the rumors are true. The ghost, Ahn Jaeyoung, isn't malicious though and actually suggests to Sungwan that they enter a contractual relationship in which the ghost gets three wishes—Jaeyoung believes that if he gets what he wanted when he was alive, having a boyfriend & going on dates, to be loved, having those desires finally be fulfilled would let him pass on.
I fucking love that plot. It's so unique and so silly, while also being such a rich source for angst as well. At the start, the relationship is really only treated humorously, as Jaeyoung is quite mischievous and gets an obvious kick out of kind of just hanging around. But there's one scene that marks a turning point, and it's nonstop angst.
The fucking amusement park scene. That fucking chapter. That's the beginning of the end, as soon as the emotions kick in there it's like it just never stops.
One of Jaeyoung's wishes is to go on a date to an amusement park. So Sungwan & Jaeyoung go on the date, but obviously it's quickly realized that it's kind of futile. The differences between them are highlighted and there's this underlying sense of bittersweetness that coats the whole thing. You can see Jaeyoung realize that even if he has a "boyfriend," he doesn't have and now never will have a proper relationship. He'll never be able to hold hands or kiss. I don't believe those points are ever explicitly pointed out, maybe they are, but you can feel that intense misery and bittersweetness throughout every panel. Because even though he'll never have exactly what he wants, Sungwan is still trying.
The climax of the story is that due to the fact that Sungwan constantly has a ghost around him, he's getting hurt. Ghosts have this natural energy that's just harmful to the living. And both of them know how to fix it—give Jaeyoung his last wish, and tell him you like him. But the last wish also means Jaeyoung's spirit will be put to rest. And fucking hell, I fucking loved that conflict. They both want to say they like each other, they both want to hear the other say they like them, they both know it's the best thing to do. But they struggle with whether they should, because they're both selfish and they both still want the relationship and I just . . . I just . . . GAAAH. Those last two chapters just left me so, so emotional.
