Weak characterization and bad rep, as others have said. Seme acts like he's giving options, but you never see it. No safe words, hand signals, and only "leaving the room" is deemed his cue to stop, but of course the uke is bound. Now, don't get me wrong, the uke never thinks that he wants to leave, but without clear signals it's impossible to know how much of his protest is genuine. And on the character side of things, it's way too short to explore either of them in any meaningful way. Very empty. Only the play is a reason to read at all.
