dawg u gotta realise eunsan has a whole different life from ian, the boy only had eyes for eunsan while he dated around like a normal teen. ian entering and exiting his student life was abrupt for him and he probably never even thought about ian romantically, nor did he know young ian already liked him. i don’t think it’s realistic for eunsan now to immediately be accepting of everything now that he knows and all this is really new for him as well ???
we can literally see eunsan’s feelings for him start to change and reciprocate so idk why ur so pressed it’s the gradual shift in their relationship that’s to be appreciated
and just don’t get the eunsan figure then … LMAO

I know he’s never thought of Ian that way that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that he sees Ian really having feelings for him now and how much he does to like touch his heart that he’s confessed and it seems like Eusan just kinda seems uninterested? Unimpressed? Like at least give more of a reaction besides “oh…” like that’s what it feels like to me. It just seems like Ian is putting his all into this and Eusan still isn’t taking him seriously and doesn’t even consider that his feelings are like ya know real?? Like when they were supposed to have their romantic moments Eusan was just cracking jokes and not seeming to take it seriously so I felt like Ian was beside himself being the only person with actual emotions in this. Like even when Ian kissed him first Eusan just brushed it off. Like I know it was because it was awkward for him but to me it just shows how he sees this whole situation. And the figures come with both Ian and Eusan together

to me i think it’s because 1. eunsan needs more time to really let it sink in that ian likes him and 2. the guy has never liked nor dated another man before and he’s probably confused about his own feelings too. put yourself in his shoes, if a junior you knew for a long time suddenly confessed to you but you have never seen him romantically before, i think i would be hesitant and a bit awkward about it all too.
generally it just comes off to me that eunsan is in the midst of developing feelings for ian, but since this is so new to him as well he doesn’t really know what to make of all these developments. let’s have faith in him a little more

I recently re-read the whole thing, now with this whole backstory in mind, and I think Eunsan is depressed. Like, he's shown talking to a therapist about his anxiety meds but also the difference between his personality then and now is like night and day. He was severely traumatized by his father and how he heavily preferred Ian over himself. Of course none of it was Ian's fault, and Eunsan is aware of that, but he can't help being resentful. Also, if you look at it from Eunsan's pov Ian was very antagonistic for no reason, and he thought the resentment was mutual. Heck, he acted like a jerk and got punched in Eunsan's dad's funeral! And THAT was last time he had seen him before he returned to Korea! WE KNOW every time he acts like a brat is bc Ian just wanted his attention and was bitter about his wedding, but jeez Ian could have been less of a prick about it. I think Eunsan is at least justified in not knowing Ian loves him in the "you're the reason I wake up" way until now and feeling bamboozled. Ofc leaving him on read and belittling him is BAD, but... let's allow him to catch up to Ian's feelings. Ian started the love race 10 years ago, so now he has a long way to go.

I understand that trust me like it’s a common thing in BL I think I was just shocked at how unserious he was like I can’t see someone literally pouring their heart out to me and me just being like so you got condoms or what? Like the guy was literally shaking from nerves and excitement and instead of like realizing how much he must care for him he just thinks like well I’ll just get this over with. Like I’ve seen this troupe before but never to the extent where the guy doesn’t take a second to be mindful of the other person like he at least thinks it over and sees all the things the guy does for him and includes that into the situation meanwhile Eusan seems like he just doesn’t even care or notice. Like Ian added him as his plus one to an event and even showed up in a suit all for him and Eusan had like zero reaction. That’s what I’m saying. It seems like Eusan keeps thinking about himself in every situation like how it’s effecting HIM

Ya know what I completely forgot about that but it makes more sense now. Like I still don’t get why Ian was such an asshole to him for so long when he didn’t need to be and it seemed dumb that Eusan still as a grown man was still mad at Ian for taking his fathers attention away from his family which wasn’t Ian’s fault. I can see that it’s like in Eusan’s eyes Ian got everything he wanted and achieved his goals but was still a dick to him for no reason but I feel like even so he shouldn’t have blown him off as much when it was obvious to anyone how head over heels Ian was for him. I just think Eusan was a bit self concerned at times like he can see how much Ian cherishes him and freaked out when he collapsed and still seemingly ignoring it entirely like could’ve at least wondered why

What did he even do??

When you watch someone take your own father away from you, its painful. More painful that you may think. Let alone how his father ended up treating Eusan because of it. I would personally be incredibly resentful. And for the person, who I see as took everything from me and treated me like shit, confess their feelings in such a nervous excited way, like they had been feeling this for years, id be fucking pissed, irritated and annoyed.

You took everything from me and treated me like shit, and you expect me to like you back? Oh hell no. Absolutely not. At least not initially. And him being cold and irritated could just be an impulsive reaction to all these emotions and past memories coming back and now he has this added confession. Everythings piling up and toppling over for him.

Eusan is in counseling and getting help, Ian is trying to help too. Once he sorts out his past and processes it and comes to terms with it, he will act better. But that takes time and patience. Healing things like this doesnt happen overnight. And honestly I like that representation a lot. I rather have the interactions and tension we have now because its more realistic and not some yippee gay love bl.
