I'm on ch36 and the story is really good the art is good and the characters are really enjoyable, I'm GLAD I didn't believe the first few comments and read it anyway lets see how it goes from here, but for now my favorite things are 1- that she's strong bc she's a good person and wants to stand up for others, she may seem like someone that could be pushed around, but that's bc she wants to believe the good in people and thats hard to show on a character and make them believable. 2 - the ML feels like an actual person as well, many times stories like these dont know how to develop this type of character that gets consumed bit by bit by the calamity + doesn't know how to interact with people but is a good person at heart 3 - the calamity and the witches, the world building is pretty interesting, I'm not a fan of stories that go for "oh only woman can be witches bc idk biology or something" that's idk kinda lazy, here it isnt overly explained, but knowing that it is passed down through apprentices is actually so cool I don't know how to explain this point tbh like why I find it cool so I'll go to the calamity now. The calamity, oh wow, now that is different and terrifying, idk how they make it, but the calamity is truly scary, it isnt just some weird power up or random entity, the calamity feels truly evil and cunning, things rotting and being getting disfigured just from its existence.
Final thoughts, for now bc I haven't finished, I hope this story continues like this it is intriguing and scary but fun and hopeful, the MCs truly mirror and complete each other at the same time even when they're not together. For now it's an 8.5/10 since it's still so early in the story, but I hope to end this finding a new 10/10 or at least a 9/10 (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
