how lady dinah talks about bachan is really odd lol so even if the romance is kind of sweet on the surface, if you think about it a little more, dinah is still lowkirkenuinely a weirdo—not to say that the emperor is any better,, basically everyone except sharan are weirdos LOL. in terms of writing, the story can be a little convoluted at times, but it’s alright. despite not liking dinah, i can acknowledge that this is just the consequence of needing to do anything to survive, and wanting to get to the top in order not to suffer anymore. unfortunately she is no match for sharan plot armour

The start was interesting, I liked that the Prime minister was a good villain, and I liked the ML was fairly well built. As for the MC she felt a little flat but she grew on me I guess - as for her lover Bachan, idk man...
The only reason he's there is so the author can now drama farm. As soon as that love handkerchief thing was introduced my investment levels went out the window because we all know where this is going :)
It's literally only there to give MC a reason to fall out of love with him and go for the ML. Like come on, you couldn't have thought of any other reason they might grow apart like, "We only had each other during the hardest times in our lives, we developed a co-dependency on each other and mistook that for love - of course, I hold affection for you but with the time we've had apart... As we've grown as people, I realize maybe that affection isn't romantic." Y'know?
