once again I have to say do not trust the ratings on the site sometimes because why is it? I mean five stars 72%? It’s not that bad but I would I genuinely thought this would be higher like 85 because the progression of their relationship was really nice. You know I read some of the reviews and people were saying that this was a bit boring and they or they dropped it in midway because it didn’t get an interesting after season one but I don’t understand this that at all this was really interesting maybe if you don’t really like the genre of hackers or computers I suppose it wouldn’t be something that you’d be interested in to be fair. It’s not really a topic that I am interested in personally but the story was written nicely you know he looked up to this hacker and the hacker find out who he was and wanted to meet him in real life and hit his identity and create another identity which was actually three people, oh no, it’s cute. I don’t know what else to say. We even got a wedding which is very rare inmanhwas I will always go soft for a story that has a wedding at the end because who doesn’t love that and ending scene as a wedding honestly it eats every time I will never be disappointed with a wedding and this is really cute the connections that he’s made over the year as he was working in that neighbourhood and it circled back to him inviting them to the wedding it’s so cute and I like that he I forgot his real name but L I love that he was not written down or diminished to be a character that cannot stand up for himself. People literally died in the story. You know Daniel got beaten up and thrown into cement and hearted in that cement and Suzuki jumped to his death he killed himself you know and L was not phased and I like that because usually the characters who are bottoms you would say our quite susceptible to the sort of thing and it was made clear that he doesn’t like hurting people, but I like the progression that if it happens, it happens to him you know he doesn’t really think twice as long as his partner VX is my side so solid story 10 out of 10 the hacking stuff honestly it was really interesting the way that the illustrations were when he would go into the back rooms or the coding part of his program and the codes yeah that was interesting. the story you did circle around the broker not some huge organisation so maybe that’s why some people found it boring because usually was stories like this it would involve huge companies or even conglomerates and people like them but these four hackers were just hacked by this. I mean we’re just trying to find this one dude this one broker and that was stretched across two seasons because it was the broker and then it was the brokers companion but it wasn’t just about that you know it also I would say half the plot was also about the two main leads so I don’t understand why it was boring. It was interesting to me and it was very cute. I love. kov my favourite side character she is such an IT girl and I love her with all my heart
the character development is very acute. I love the uncle very hot okay? Probably one thing that I would like address or it’s kind of funny I know.yiyeon said that him and his family weren’t that close, but I would’ve thought they would’ve addressed his famous sculptur of a father and I thought we would see the big sister and his other family members at the wedding even though it was addressed that they weren’t close but whatever let’s just set that aside, I’m not sure that I don’t think it’s a plot hole. I think it’s just me being picky still at 10 out of 10 though.
two characters that are strong within their own rights and not vulnerable in situations and we love that oh yeah I was gonna say perhaps I mean it was always said in the beginning that even though thezeta team had capabilities of you know working underground and doing work like dirty work like that they were never the type to do that and it was said in the story they were just really good hackers that just did it for fun so it made sense that no big corporations ever went after them because it’s not like they ever messed with them in the first place so it made sense of the pot was kind of simple and it was a previous member that was out to get them instead I don’t know how they earn the cash but I guess they just hack stuff that’s not underground or legal. I’m not sure we don’t need to care about that. I just know that I like the story and they’re all so cute. I love all the characters.

i mainly read boring stuff and these are my thoughts
i think that there 2 main things that this story does well.

1. the relationship
in the first part, before the reveal of who VX is, it does a pretty good job in highlighting the relationship between VX and L. more specifically, it contrasts against the relationship between kang and yiyeon. in doing so, it explores kang as a character and the reason why he is running away. i think this reason is actually very relatable. additionally this builds up to the later part where L has to reconcile these 2 relationships.

the second part of the story answers the question: how much will you do for the one you love? how far will you go and to what extent is it justified? when does your actions stop being justifiable? and this is done using L and VX's relationship versus the antagonists. this exploration brings another layer to L and VX's relationship.

however, it being a korean written manhwa, it does have some tropes like pulling the love interest away forcefully. personally didnt really appreciate these but the rs is otherwise healthy

2. kang as a multifaceted character. he has some aura moments and other moments where he acted dumb. the moments where he gets rly fired up in a mission contrasts with his usual rational self. this is actually my favourite aspect of the story. u see this especially in VX's perspective. i also really appreciated how kang fell in love with yiyeon outside of their roles, because it makes the attraction feel genuine, not merely situational.

so then is this story boring? the plot is easy to follow but the context is quite unique for a BL. you do see the relationship themes in many BLs, which may be the reason why people find it boring. that doesnt mean its not worth reading. i think this story shines more in character exploration, but this does not mean that its relationship exploration is lacking. the art improves (i found yiyeon's hair really flat in the beginning) the side characters are also quite endearing

holy fucking peak i remember seeing this bl on a bl rec post years ago and i just randomly picked it up two days ago----truly an amazing reading experience and honestly so much representation for a bottom bc istg i read so many bls where they're not as into sex as the top or they're always getting jumped but it's a relationship with two people so how would only one of them be excited to get physical THANK U FOR THE REP. i haven't read a bl this good in a while and i read A LOT so i have so much love for this story. the concept was so cool. i never would have thought id read a bl about pro-hackers (i initially thought this was a gaming bl bc of the rec post i saw a while back when they put it alongside gmnd) but i thoroughly enjoyed the non-romance plot. it was some high-level dangerous stuff and yet it was relatively easy to understand even with the hacking jargon. in pretty much every review i do i talk about the art so it's art review time. i. L.O.V.E. the art so so so much, from both seasons. i love the progression from simpler lines to more detail and changes in coloring. i love the heart eyes in smut (petition to put more heart eyes in smut pls and thank u) i love how there wasn't any awkward ass panels bc sometimes (and i get it as someone who struggles to draw people in various positions) there r when it's difficult to match proportions and it throws me off so bad. everything was so well-drawn and ALSO. BLESS UP for giving the characters normal outfits. istg i see some weird fits in bls specifically and idk why but it bothers me so much so thank u for that. and thanks for giving YIYEON ESPECIALLY good outfits. sometimes when it's a rich character AND the ML, the author gives them some goofy outfits bc they're supposed to stand out since they have a lot of money. but my eyes were blessed this entire bl and i was never disappointed. i truly truly love everything about this bl and the epilogue. perfect amount of smut by the way. i'm not very techy but i will be overriding the mainframe with my rereads of this yes yes
