He owns and operates a handyman company called 'Rent-a-Husband' as a way to make ends meet after leaving the military; she's lied her way up the corporate ladder by lying about being married, she needs a husband quick. So...she finds his ad in the paper and because he's got nothing better to do, he agrees. The whirlwind begins, fun times, sex and love follow. Then words are hurled, laundry is aired and a reunion makes it all worthwhile. Lovelove ever after.

She is a pawn in the machinations of a family rivalry, sort of. She falls for a man who's pretending to be another man, she ends the relationship, then the fake man kills himself and nearly her in a vehicle collision, she discovers she's pregnant and the man her fake pretended to be wants to keep her and the baby in the family. They have never really gotten along, but he's determined and she's still recovering, they begin working it out. It's good, but convoluted.

Twofer! 1) Her family runs a vineyard and he's the son of the asshole-uh-man who wants to snatch it from them. She's fiery, but vulnerable, he's determined, but his cruelty loses it's edge with her. Cute. 2) She's a nurse without a job, he's a doctor in need of a nurse to help his resident loony-uh-patient. She sees at once the girl's faking it, but decides to do her best, he's waiting for this ordeal to end so he can have what he wants. Sweet.

Well, here's a couple with problems, the least of which being their one night encounter creating progeny. He's lord of the manor and she's a princess of a rock king and model queen and they have hidden themselves. Reporters trash them and their families, so now they live in fear of it. But all the blame cannot be laid at the paparazzi's feet, blame, too, those who read and buy all that crap... the general public. (Humans need better hobbies.)

She once loved the love of the young and clueless, but he was the one who left her wounded and abandoned because he was the head of the family and cannot be disobeyed. She has spent her time blaming him for her lost love, but now she's discovered she'll being working with him. But what if what she thought wasn't true? He has been looking for her, worrying about her, but is a bit emotionally constipated. It works in the end.

Meet a judgmental asshole who's opinion is based strictly on appearance and association, and a woman who must deal with him. He makes assumptions, she denies, but his ears are only decorative, he listens with his mouth. Still, she has sex with him anyway because, oh oh oh it's magic, and shit spirals from there. He DOES apologize/beg for his assholery and she educates herself before agreeing to marriage. So it's alright.

Wow... Just wow. She's pining so hard she dresses down in an effort to at least remain friends so he'll talk to her and he's... slow is an understatement, molasses on a glacier. It had it's moments and it all works out in the end. It took a kick in the ass to head him off in that direction and it still took him a while to get there.

He's in line for the family seat as part of the British Aristocracy, a perfectly arranged societal union to merge two major houses, but he just can't help himself and ends up scamming a naive American girl into a fling. She's angry, but accepts his breakup and returns home to discover she's pregnant. She writes, he ignores and ten years later they meet again. It's sweet, but par for the course. He wants to make it right and she's helplessly in wuv.

He's a massive nerd, and hopelessly in love with her. She's been horribly insulted in the past, to the point were she no longer emotionally sees men. He's respected that, but now he needs her to accept his proposal as he has been given custody of his deceased brother's children. Through the course of their time together, they spark, create hilarity and finally admit their mutual feelings. Cute.

She creates wine while still recovering from emotionally trauma, he's a son of a wealthy, hotel/resort owning dysfunctional family with buckets of trauma of his own. He's there to get her to sign a contract with his family's hotel chain in order to keep receiving his benefits, and at first he's willing to do anything necessary. Over time, he learns more, sees more and wants more but doesn't admit the truth. They work it out in the end, of course. It's good.
