this is a colossal waste of time (sitting in at over 260 chapters currently) with absolutely no resolution for ANY plot points, the most unlikeable main character the world may have ever seen, and the only good character (seraphina bae) being treated like literal shit

i'm fine with stories that have bad vibes or questionable dynamics as long as they're obvious and deliberate, but this? this seems like gaslighting 101 and emotional abuse with no payoff for the reader. i was literally cheering donggyun leaving him and i wish the whole thing had just ended there

The vibes are bad, its just not a fun story. I am all for a good story of two fucked up people manipulating each other and that can be really fun, but I do think they need to at least enjoy doing that to each other. they just seem to actually hate each other?? I genuinely tried to enjoy this because the reviews were so high but it felt like such a slog. i had to start taking breaks between chapters
