it's like ?! so innovative omg. the world building is spectacular, and it's not necessarily an eldritch, strange and unknown side of mortality- rather, it's very out in the open and feels plausible with technology, but it's so EERIE bc of its social structures and how they're considered not humans but are
yes?
the world building is limited to basically the shrine and aspects of MC's normal life that gets involved, so tbh it feels less cryptic and more "just for fun" type of story so it's not really the vibe i was going for here, but it feels applicable u know
straight up, author is a lowkey monster fucker. anyways im really interested in the world building. personally it feels less like psychological/strange, meta horror as i'd prefer, but moreso the typical "other supernatural realm" that overlaps the human world. love the monsters so far, as well as the small fun notes on the bottom LMAO (the cardboard box grandpa stealer omg)
takes a popularized and set-in-reality phenomenon (the man in ur dreams) and turns it into a giant conspiracy, where the lines between supernatural and criminal syndicate is heavily blurred since the author chooses to reveal more about this world as the plot goes on.
(romance based! has mature scenes) bro i saw this title + the fact that it's a clear parody of an entire religious scripture following the creation, cultural themes, and impact of buddhism, and i was literally "they fucking did not"
EDIT: idk why but everything about this pisses me off, from the characters to the plot, and yet it's funny as fuck so
THE WORLDBUILDING AND THE SABLE HOUSE ITSELF IS SO COOL !!! and i love how it's nt just MC who takes an interest in it- a lot of the characters being slowly introduced are interested in the mechanisms of how it's ran, as well.
i really love the steampunk setting.
oh god. it's like. weirdly magical realism because of the intro and I stand by MC's backstory rn like holy shit I'm so into it
