I love how the story shows love strikes in unexpected ways, with unexpected people and at an unexpected time - sounds like a mess right XD
Love that blooms and persists from childhood sweethearts all the way to when they mature, and continues thru all the time they are together for as long as life permits. No unnecessary conflicts and drama w regards to whether their love is real. Isn't it so sweet and romantic? It's like they manage to hold each other's hands once again to uphold an unfulfilled promise from a long time ago.. so far away that neither of them still remembers the exact words, yet the hearts still rmb.
It makes me think how every meeting feels like fate. It may be our first, second, random, unexpected or very well be last meeting with a certain someone. As brief and meaningless as it appears to be, our thoughts about them may reflect sth about who we are, and/or that we learn sth about the world regardless of how insignificant that momentary knowledge may be. We may think nothing but for someone else (as we could potentially become), small kindness goes a long way.
