it's actually really platonic and im in love with mc's relationship with his neighbours and sister. lu shu is like the troll sidekick character whose personal embarrassment is a running gag of every cold-hearted shounen protagonist, except he gained the main character halo through his self-confidence and awareness of being an absolute shithead.
not me being obsessed with what's technically a harem, but it's so PLATONIC in such a strange manner that it's not even annoying or hilarious, it's just sweet. bc it's like. he's being a grandpa (but as a girl) who adopts everyone he comes across. also this manga doesn't like. idk. capitalize on sexualizing mc's genderswap situation for slapstick, which feels like a rare find.
okay yes there's like. kind of a one-sided romance but the girl is basically a bff amongst the others too, so it's chill. and it's played up for slapstick rather than actual romantic plot. but the RELATIONSHIPS ARE HILARIOUS OMG and the breadcats- this, this fucking- this manga has my HEART
oh my GOD hhhhh
ngl, i just can't get into this. but i read enough to know that i can tell that i'm genuinely so attached to mc's dynamic with the other two boys (that delinquent with a sister and glasses boy) and if they fall apart, i will too :)
macho mc's harem's membership right. also mc is actually like,,, EXTREMELY likeable. he's just REALLY REALLY likeable as a person, and you can see that through everyone else that he interacts with.
basic basketball manhwa, except i'm really into the fact that MC is not a high schooler (if anything, that was when he was in his prime), and the rag-tag bb team aren't all high schoolers either. there was another team that even had a dude over 40- it's very fun to watch sports being played out from someone who's well past the prime age for athletics. also, the vibes are SO good/supportive between different players, and the manhwa touches upon racist commentary too.
like yes but tbh the pacing is lowkey bad as well as just the script, but yes.
no romance except for one person whose love is one-sided for slapstick (and it's not like. annoying, it's pretty fucking funny). but mc makes and reconnects old friendships, going on adventures as well, and it's actually pretty sweet. even him having fun with enemies who DONT want to have fun with him LMAO
a lot of the friendships have a foundation of resentment, dislike, or incompatibility that doesn't feel petty or unsound- the way their relationships continue to develop throughout the team even with these really fundamentally human flaws is so GOOD. there IS romance in here, but tbh the friendships are so good that i can't just not include this story in here.
Spare Me, Great Lord!
