The uke of one of the couples, Yuu, had his step-father sexually abuse him, and believed he couldn't say anything because his mother was happy in their relationship. You don't really learn about it properly until the later chapters, and it isn't graphic, but I like the way the mangaka has shown how people will be when approaching a relationship after that kind of abuse. I really enjoyed it, so I would recommend it. The seme is actually so understanding for once.
I've re-read and re-read this manga quite a lot, it's one of my favourites. In this, the uke is a male prostitute, and the seme is his new bodyguard-type-thing, and obviously, the seme winds up falling in love with the uke. However, it is then that we learn about the tragic past the uke has, and see just how negatively he views himself. It's a decent read, so I would recommend it. Obviously, anyone who goes through what he does would be relatively damaged, that is shown in his view of himself.
This one is a straight-forward plot which doesn't need that much detail. Basically, the uke was bullied in the past for being gay, and when he met the seme, they fell in love, only for the bullies to come back one day and try to fuck it up. They fail at that pretty badly, I'm putting this here for the reason because some people who are ashamed or feel negatively about their sexual orientation must have been hurt before, hence, why I'm placing the uke in the damaged list.
So, the uke in this story is really troubled. I think he definitely gets mind-break and suffers, all on top of being immensely self-destructive. I think this is a really good read, the first story at the very least if you're looking for something intense and highly abusive.
I'd say he's pretty damaged, both mentally and physically. On top of being abused, he is raped and over-all neglected by the family. I feel really, really bad for him.
This one has a lovely ending- What starts as a fuck-buddy plot eventually erupts into this story of forgiving yourself and allowing yourself to be happy. There are some graphic themes like suicide and rape, but it's a very touching read towards the end (unlike some of the mangas/webtoons on this list.)
The uke is very deeply troubled by an incident in his past. It causes him to engage in really harmful behaviour and is completely devastating. However, it has a very hopeful ending.
Ohhh this fucked me up. This fucked me up real good. I don't think I've cried this hard at a manga in a long time. The poor uke is cheated on, dealing with terminal illness, abused and even in the end still loves that man. Man. I'm never reading this again. Too upsetting.
