ch12. i WANT TO READ THIS SO BAD the meta undertones are so fucking GOOD like im being genuine- there's something about the family dynamics and the overwhelming unsettlingly feeling of the plot that makes me so intrigued. BUT THE FANSERVICE IS SO BAD. and MC's overwhelming obsession with sexualizing women makes me genuinely hate the author. like it makes me project the truest sense of disgust onto him, bc who writes like this unless if they genuinely have an objectifying view.
yes.
a little bit in just how the plot is executed. definitely a typical fujimoto break the fourth wall type of beat
what fourth wall? this might as well be reality in its own right
it's been YEARS since i've read this (before realizing it's the same dude who posted a low-quality yt video of himself trying to fly and is the same dude who pretended to be his own little sister in a twitter acc and is CLEARLY mentally ill) and even with my goldfish cracker memory, i recall enough of its insane nihilistic plotpoints that make me feel like putting this story on this list is a disservice to any potential readers' mental health. my b guys
ngl this doesn't feel meta because the entire world is basically a superhero, fantasy setting. but i think the strong undertone of control, growing up, and living in society develops like a stew of existential crisis that is clearly meant to relate to real-world problems of maturing. it's like. kinda freaky, how for a clear fantasy setting it's SO purposefully and thematically relatable to our reality's social commentary.
pages in and i was already distraught.
