The messed up mess does make sense given the time, emperor was never taught how to love or cherish someone but it’s still a stretch to forgiven him when he:
1. broke uke’s ankles
2. drugged him until he couldn’t hold anything + was forced to sleep with anyone in his sight

grooming, uneven power dynamic (orphan MC x guardian ML), possessive behavior(ML has uke under surveillance 24/7 from when he showers to sleeps), dubcon

Both characters are obsessed with each other. But I dislike it because ML is stoic to the point of being boring and groomed MC. ML is in his late 30s-early 40s and MC is 16-17. MC had a traumatic past and views ML as his safety so his attachment to him makes sense but ML being almost 40 and controlling MC is icky.

This is not a romance, it’s a psychological thriller. MC (underaged, hs student) meets a guy online for sex, the guy is crazy and dangerous, he laughs saying he can’t believe he’s sleeping with a middle schooler like it’s a joke, when MC tries to back out, he rxpes him and photographs it, prints it out to blackmail MC in school, and forces MC to sleep with him.

I’m never reading anything without reviews, wtf.

This was the issue with the other omegaverse work by the mangaka, but there’s a whole lot of rape and noncon sex. The characters are pretty unlikable too. It’s a waste of good art.

Nakamura Shungiku has really popular series with large fanbases and yet not many are calling out how every conflict ends with sex and how it’s almost always forced on the uke. Like even if he enjoys it later on, if he says “no” then it’s a no. It’s disgusting to read through it.

Story is so dragged on. There is no communication and new conflicts arise while the characters do nothing.

MC swaps bodies with bullied student, Taekin, and his unlikable ass cannot empathize or try to understand Taekin for the life of him.

Instead of addressing bullying, homophobia, and suicide, MC directs most of his attention on Taekin’s rude gym teacher who was his former classmate. There was no need for this romance, both MC and ML are unlikable + have no chemistry.

No revenge or justice, this is just infuriating.

Nonconsensual sex, sex under influence, manipulation

Every character in this work is a walking red flag. They’re obnoxious and gross. Not a single healthy relationship was included. I don’t even want to remember what I read.

Not to mention the character designs are the same as Fargo’s previous work which is even worse than this.

Not sure how anyone is okay with this. Haru was 17 when Ren was 8 years old, and even though they follow the two after a time skip, it’s still pedophila. The only reason no one is saying anything is because Haru is well-drawn. It’s creepy to think about, especially if you have ever met an 8 yo. They may be a menace but that doesn’t make them any less of a victim. And don’t even get me started on the incest thing.
