no.1 for a reason. I genuinely struggled to think of anything else while I was reading this. This plot is beautifully written with so much attention to detail in past and present, characterisation and everything is tied together with dazzling art that deserves framing. And that TENSION! Not just romantic, though my heart strings were tugged. How the balance is played with between certainty through knowledge of the past, and uncertainty once the past gets derailed is genius.
This story is so breathtaking I could scream. The dark mystery of this plot is deeply addictive, where time jumps flow smoothly; immersion to the max. I can't get over our cast of characters either, each of them with a unique and gorgeous design, let alone the *art style*. I love Lau with all of my heart, and despite his many comedic moments, I'm scared for his well-being with white knuckles. There's emphasis put on the power of relationships, in all of its forms
One of my favourites of all time. Their relationship is mutually respectful and so pure and sweet. It develops so naturally and comfortably. Could warm the coldest of hearts
( I just cried, not really sad) refreshing art style and tone. The balance and pacing of the romance is perfected. Story is set in a rural town and the choice feels intentional and realistic, not like the characters were just thrown in there for the gimmick of farm life. Also, I've seen some ugly-ass babies drawn up in Manhwas and this one's really cute.
This story left my heart in the pit of my stomach and brought it right back in just a few chapters. One of the most lovely coming of age stories I've ever read. They are so cute it's unreal
I'm struggling to place exactly why I like this one so much but it's definitely a masterpiece. Strange, funny as hell and weirdly warm and comfortable to read. A series of slice-of-life short stories about high schoolers. I love this author's work so much. A note: this isn't really a true BL but the developing relationships in this story both romantic and not are too beautiful to leave out of this list :)
a super cute story with a huge helping of fluff in its plot and an art style that is unrivalled with the use of facial expressions to convey emotions. You could almost tell exactly what is going on without reading the dialogue and just using the raw art. The story is also incredibly well written too. The spinoff to this (Form of Sympathy) takes a much darker tone and isn't later in this list because I felt it has some morally grey areas that made it uncomfortable for me personall
This story takes itself seriously and is one of the most heartwarming, soul-healing things I've ever read. Deals with divorce and the realities that single parents face in raising a child. This is a true comfort to read and re-read.
The way the concept of werewolves is used in this story is unique, the world building cuts no corners, the art is STUNNING and even the humour hits. Every single character in this Manhwa has the charm of a god. Reading this gave me a heartattack just about every 30 seconds. Also, I'm a big fan of both main couples, not just the first one; their storylines are interesting in very different ways which, despite the length of the Manhwa makes it impossible to be bored
The two of them together feels so right, they're cute and complement each other's personalities so well. The art is absolutely gorgeous too. A beautiful story; age gap done right :)
