The tension and drama comes from multiple angles, all looking at different aspects of what it means and what it feels like to be gay. With deep and beautiful characters that I can't help but root for, and a surprisingly mature and balanced outlook from many of them. A light and heavy read at the same time. I wish it felt complete
An incredible plot-heavy story, with two lovable main characters. Their interactions are filled with banter, even before anything happens romantically. All of this was fun to read, and built tension through an intertwined mystery. I struggled to put this down :)

There's nothing special about this manga on the surface but the care put into the character writing, both main and side, is noticeable and really drew me in. The slow burn romance and the unique vampire situation is fun too. More filler and side quests than I'm used to, but I'm not mad about it.

This is a spin off of another series, but I personally love this one so much more. I think it's something about the two main characters; they're both interesting and don't make dumb decisions. There's nothing really annoying about either of them and that means the plot finds other ways to build conflict that isn't just through misunderstandings. A breath of fresh air, honestly. Also, it's almost too cute for me to handle..
When it comes to dom-sub universes, there's so much that can go wrong in terms of consent but this one does the bare minimum well. It's a good story because the characters respect each other :)

I love the setting in this one, it's messy and a little abstract kinda cyberpunk. Twists and turns and metal pipes and shapes that don't quite make sense but it doesn't matter. There's also an awesome psychological aspect that is both a reflection of the great character writing and the body horror of 'replaceable body parts'. It gives ship of Theseus a little. And that's not even mentioning the crisis I'm having over what classifies a human.
Unique and well paced. Plays into the few tropes of returning to the past with memories intact and a game system. Interesting plot that doesn't drag out too long and characters with depth. I like that it feels planned and has direction, unlike some other idol works.
