domestic terrorism mystery with a fantastic cast
great plot, leaving me guessing at every turn
main cast and even supporting characters are well thought out and have decent depth. character dynamics feel natural and executed really well.
evident that the authors clearly plan out the plot for each season and have a good idea of where they want it to go next.
art is good, i feel like they put in more thought into storyboarding than most artists, love some of their panel layouts too.
yes, there was that one arc that everybody hated but i do think that it was necessary, just dragged on too long. nonetheless, the plot is great, the way that everything is coming together is such good payoff. you can really see the effort put into world building and character development that make the story progression feel natural like a result of everything that has happened rather than events that are planted out of nowhere like in most supernatural stories.
refreshing concept, its a parody of stereotypical bl tropes. overall a really fun read, i just wished they focused more on mc instead of his brother.
10/10 but i maybe kinda baised because i’ve been following this for more than 5 years
short chapters, slice of life about 4 high school kids. most chapters are funny one shots with some bits of lore and angst sprinkled in.
as a novel reader, this is a pretty faithful adaptation
story is lighthearted at first, simple mystery with a side of fan service as u are introduced to the lore but then gets really heart wrenching and angsty as you read further.
the main cast all have good depth and eventual growth and developments. im so invested in xie lan as a character it hurts.
art style is gorgeous and still pretty consistent.
a fun and light hearted read.
NOT BL, they really need to remove the shounen ai tag.
mc is hilarious, he’s not like the other girls and the other characters are pretty fun too
plot is nowhere but also kinda maybe headed somewhere idk
art is super solid.
the plot is just wow, literally mind blowing how everything comes full circle at the end. if you’re not interested in reading the novel, maybe reading the manhwa will convince you lol. kdj is mary sue but at least there’s a good reason for it and he uses his brain to adapt to situations rather than brute forcing his way through like most fantasy mc. plus supporting characters are actually relevant n able to survive without mc.
*spoiler*
my biggest gripe is that kdj revives too often
imo one of the best BL’s (or just romance in general) out there
typical university student trope done right. fluffy yet reasonably realistic if u overlook everyone getting a happy ending.
love the main couple’s characters and relationship development. so much mutual growth and positive impact on the people around them. i usually dont like misunderstandings but the characters knowing how to recognise their mistakes and apologise and actually change made it ok.
a story that makes me genuinely interested in what will happen next. everything and everyone is unpredictable, they’re all crazy people, including FL although she is the most normal one.
super angsty slow burn 2nd encounter with loads of flashbacks.
so far everything about this has been great, the story is well planned out and paced. and the art is just top tier. the layout and storyboarding is especially good, they know how to make scenes feel atmospheric n the expression are so vivid. so many instances where the story hits harder because of how the artists choose to present it. really one of the best art n story out there.
