he's just a good guy :) i think it's just gr8 how the author puts a lot of emphasis in his relationship and devotion to his mom out of self-retrospective love. like i also do think the lack of relationships in these manhwas that do the "show not tell" in terms of how they feel about their parents are super lacking. usually w stories that arent focused on family dynamics/romance we rarely see kids+adults interact in a very genuine way like this, past "we know the <3 each other bc theyre laughing"

i wouldn't call mc a "good guy" but he does things that are good. he has no motives that would harm those he consider as allies or previous friends even if they're not on the same side as him, and if he has any ulterior motives, it's just to expand his knowledge. he uses that knowledge to try and help his and others' circumstances. he does the right thing and while it doesnt seem like it, he does it because he cares and i really like that about him.

i'd say so. honestly this list is kinda a trashbin for those that don't make it into my other lists, but they're so good that i want to put them somewhere. which is here. but i'd also say mc is pretty good in the sense that i like how he thinks: he doesn't have intense personal grudges, and is willing to make amends pretty quickly. he values comradery not just for benefits, but also out of good company.

ch27. mc has a strict personal moral standard and judges himself harshly for it. a good person for less of doing good, and more so of actively preventing evil. also he has a lighthearted, casual, mocking persona, which i personally am a fan of bc i LOVE it when a character's outward disposition juxtaposes the depth/tone of their thoughts

tbh. mc's kinda self-righteous and gets on my nerves but like. he's 10 u know. and he lives and learns from realizing how his actions could impact others. such as constantly standing up for others regardless of how situations are. i think just the plotpoints of politics in war, ethics of child soldiers, and why people are even fighting, are good situations to see how mc responds to them.

it's not rlly the fact that he sees these video game characters as real that drives it in for me- it's how he responds to the general themes of loss, hopelessness, and leadership and its responsibilities in war that convinces me he goes here. also how he spends money for soldier burials; there's definitely a financial and manpower component to it and not completely sentimentally motivated, but i think that makes it even better. it's just funny bc i have to justify him being a good person LOL

ya. mc is out here doing the most and for what lol. like bruh he's out here feeling bad for npcs before he was even apart of this little bafoonery shit (if u cant tell, this manhwa is my everything).

dude he's so easygoing but if you think about it, he's so brazen like he says what he likes or doesn't like and doesn't mind admitting his mistakes with or without shame. he's like, too emotionally and socially competent to be considered blunt, so when he just stares at you and says: "i don't like the way you talk!" and walks away it's so fucking funny.

he's like the stereotypical "hero." however his heroism extends if the opportunity allows it, and his goodwill is not unconditional. he's a good, loving, family dude. love how he can chop off all my toes like baby carrots if he so wills it, but because he is such a good (normal) dude, he probably will not!

ngl. last time i read this was years ago when i still had webtoon and i remember only reading it bc i got attached to the bully dude in the bg. so i cant determine how mc is now. but given his character he's like, a genuine and sincere guy who's predestined to be humble bc he was bullied LMAO so no worries on that changing.
