Warehouse is fearfully and wonderfully made. The story is plot-driven, there are complex characters, it keeps you guessing, and the plot is reasonable enough to maintain suspension of disbelief. The relationship is unorthodox, to say the least, but I couldn't stop reading. It checks all the boxes for a psychological thriller and extremely dark romance.
Black Mirror is one of the few stories, particularly in the comic book vein that has actually given me the creeps. Truly, psychological horror remains undefeated. The story is driven by mystery, it's eerie and has complex characters. The vibes are immaculate.
compelling plot. dynamic characters. just the right amount of "what the fuck."
I am deeply in love with this art style. The setting, the cast of characters, and the age group all stir up this sense of nostalgia I can only compare to the feeling I had when I watched the first season of Stranger Things. The Summer Hikaru Died is plot-driven, has an appealing premise, captivating art, and dynamic characters. I pre-ordered the English copy of the first book before I even finished reading it. If you're thinking about reading this one, then stop thinking, just do it!
noir, but make it manga. the premise is interesting and unique without being too convoluted. it reminds me of a novella i never finished writing. i wouldn't say the characters themselves are complex but the author gives the reader depth between characters.
unique plot and interesting characters though they are incredibly naive and honestly, stupid. the foundation is shakey since the entire conflict could have been solved by a simple action from any one of the characters but i was willing to put that aside for the vibes. i am a sucker for a dark story that doesn't have all its problems magically solved and questions answered. i was certainly uncomfortable by the end.
suspension of disbelief for this one was shakey. however, i really enjoyed the story. kister was an interesting character for me and that kept me going to the end. another one that, despite most things being magically wrapped up, not every problem is solved in the end.
This is definitely an interesting story that is driven by a unique plot. It has mystery, complex characters, hints of tragedy, and quality storytelling.
