The miscommunication trope is one of my least favorite tropes, however, there's no escaping it. It features heavily in this manhwa, and it bothers me because the whole plot would shatter to pieces if some basic communication occurred between characters. HOWEVER, besties I don't know why but I couldn't put this down, I hate-read it until chapter 73 and I'll be back for the next season too. Take from that what you will lol.
woop woop, that's the sound of the police! Poyun could be a whole ass movie. It is driven by the plot ✓ has a gorgeous cast ✓ dynamic characters ✓ interesting premise ✓ and is reasonably realistic ✓.
this one has a good unique plot. the number of times the mc says the ml's name made me want to bang my head into a wall though. still worth the read.
Ongoing. I can't promise that this one is plot-heavy because truthfully, I don't really know where the plot is going. HOWEVER, I get excited when a new chapter drops because the story isn't entirely centered around sex though the spice is *spicy.* When Ian said "Stop teasing, give it to me hard" my spirit rocket launched itself into oblivion. Mostly, I enjoy a conflict where we know who the right guy is, but the wrong guy is so. damn. sexy.
A Shoulder to Cry On is a touching story about two teenage boys who are complete opposites. The slow progression of the relationship makes sense when you consider that one of the pair is anti-social personality disorder-adjacent. The writing is refreshingly poignant. My one complaint is that the time skips are abrupt and confusing.
