romance plots that don't make me feel like my colon has been crocheted into a fucking noose for me to choke on

this is a WHOLE ass cheating-boyfriend k-drama but in a psychological thriller sort of way

IT'S LIKE SO GOOD? like ML is actually a genuinely good person and also i like how he's like. normal. like he's not like,,, idk a stereotype (whether that be super cold, puppydog, etc). like he's just a competent and good dude lol. and i LOVE how the closest guy friend is absolutely platonic and not used as the butt of a joke to the prince

pretty naturally developing romance. i like how ML doesn't quickly fall in love or become extremely dependent on her, and FL doesn't fall for him romantically yet, too. also i LOVE how this is COMMITTED to being a comedy plot first. like romance is a goal, not the actual bit and i'd much rather see them struggle like this is a goddamn shoujo sitcom that's too self-aware.

(bro iread up to like ch 12 i didnt even know this had that many updates) but regardless, i remember LOVING the meta vibes of this entire thing. like the idea that there's something a lot more to this reincarnation than just the act itself- that there's a mechanism and cause behind it. im SO intrigued. i also dont think i care about the characters LOL

tbh. im pretty much only invested in the two commentators' as characters. like i LOVE the other characters- especially the brown-haired original MC of the otome game, like the fact that she's a goddamn tank makes me bust a fucking dance move like what the shit. the comedy of this is actually insane like wtf is happening. ngl. i lowkey dont rlly care about the romance of the tsun + the prince. i wanna see finne fucking beat up random ppl through raw power

no but you don't understand. this seems so dumb or plot-holey at first, but they fill it in quite nicely by the end of the 1st season, and it's still going strong. like im GENUINELY invested in the actual romance of this plot, not just between MC and ML, but also of the others, too. like im ROOTING for them

no but the characters really make this. it's so slice of life, easygoing, and just chill. and i LOVE how compatible the two main characters are- it's so cute. and they're of the same breed so like they're pretty understanding with things most people wouldn't be

YOOOO i usually dont like things that aren't super clear (im less of romance slice for life- i feel likr romance esp with multiple people involved is too stressful/annoying for me) but the development here is so well done that im like ? also it's not tedious etiher- lots of plotlines and misunderstandings wrap up quickly and isn't dragged out.

this is quite possibly one of the more unique plots and character designs ive read. i also cannot for the fucking life of me remember it at all and i refuse to reread it but i just TRUST this type of artstyle that this will be good, nostalgic, and weirdly traumatic.
