idk there's nothing wrong with romance-based plots. i actually devour that shit so fast you know. it's just i feel like there are very few ones that i actually get attached to? so here's a list of those that i actively LOVE and will reread
once you get passed some of the more,,, cringey traditional themes of this plot and character development, this gets REALLY funny. and i really like how it circles back from "being more effeminate to be 'seen' as a girl" to "just be yourself regardless of how feminine you are or aren't." ALSO I LOVE CAROL and the way she's treated like a fucking creature by everyone else around her is ASTOUNDING
