I am not trying to shame anyone's preferences, as I wrote in the description for part 1, some people are into most of these titles and some need to avoid them like the plague, I think both are valid. Personally, many titles on the list I really like and many I find very inadequately written and retraumatizing. I'm a survivor myself so I know how delicate of a line it is to walk when reading stuff like this.

I read it and I feel like although the protagonists fall in love through the rapey-ness, they do so despite it, not through it/because of it.
Romanticised rape is more about sugar-coating sexual assault and excusing it as something else/making it seem as not such a bad thing, sugarcoating it or making out the rapist into "not such a bad guy afterall" (example: ALL OF THE MANGA IN THIS LIST LMAO). I was a bit iffy about it cause they kept on piling on the seme's trauma like it excused what he did, but I thiiiink that the mangaka makes a point of the fact that Masataka forgave Souma, while understanding the weight of his actions, and that the burden of it the two of them will always have to carry. Also, it was kind of good that they didn't end up together - lol too toxic honestly. So, this manga falls into the disclaimer I have at the beginning of the first part of the list :D

Second of all: it actually portrays sexual assault quite realistically and for what it is, even when it happened to the girl that looked like Jun (forgot her name), and it shows that Kouichi clearly suffered from PTSD after it, so, quite a lot more of a mature way than most yaoi actually O___O all the dudes of the manga (almost literally) being possessive of the main character is not really rape-tastic territory so I can't really say all in all that GnK fits in the list :)
