Here's an ever-growing list of mangakas that I thoroughly enjoy. Some of them are my absolute favorites, and others have produced work that puts them on the favorite list, even though I'm still feeling out the mangaka. I'm trying to remember everyone, so I'll add more as I go along.
PARK SANG-SUN. Lovely art with dark, twisting storylines. I loved the surprise BL in this, and the stories were so entertaining. The mangaka hasn't seemed to do much since, but I hope to see more from her.
I sometimes add people to this list prematurely, but when a mangaka does everything right, or really nails themes that others often handle poorly, I can't help but fall in love. So far I've only read this book, but I'm obsessed. She mostly has doujinshi out, which I'm not into, but I think she may have some new originals.
