i believe that in the past setting they went to the same high school in america and now they go to the same college in america
All these events are taking place in America. The past events are when Taehwan and Yeonwu went to the same private school on the east side. And, the current events are taking place at an unknown university in america.

as yeonwu said, taehwan is from california and yeonwu is originally from south korea but he’s studying aboard in america.
so was their highschool on the east coast? cause taehwan had to live with a host family so it had to have been far enough away from socal where his parents are (the us is so stupid big so ofc he'd need a whole diff home setup if he was gonna be studying longterm outside of cali let alone on the other side of the country. but also brrrr at that cold. going from LA area to NY or smth eeeeek)
now that you mentioned it, i don’t think the author said exactly where their university is at. We can assume it’s far away from california so it’s possible it’ll be in NY or something?
