I've read the novel and the ability of her mother's side is kinda powerful? Some sort of dark magic so they are highly protected by the government.

wasn't it already mentioned that the power was able to control emotions and dreams? It's really strong and didn't someone wanted to prevent the ml from marrying the fl because he would become too powerful?
Truthfully i think the mother made a good decision. If she did tell Miyo the truth when she was young then Miyo would have told her father since she was a child when her mother died and children say anything in the heat of the moment. Plus if Miyo did know and she accidentally told her father or step mother. The step mother would have tried to assassinate Miyo. Miyo would have still suffer the same mistreatment even if they did or didn’t know about her special ability. And they would definitely try to use miyo for their own reasons. Since Miyo was deemed as “useless” she was able to be married off with the ML instead of her childhood “friend” who loves her. So i think it work out in the end.

Yeah I agree, I set this comment on follow because I wanted to find a reason as to why it somehow would've been better for her mom to hide her powers. It's been a few days now, I still hadn't figured it out, but reading your comment really struck me. That was the answer and justification. If anything, her knowing about her powers wouldn't change the fact that the step mom and sister are bitches and would everything means into make her life like a living hell. It would even result to her being in a worse situation and not finding her only hope to a better life which is with the ml. And considering how superficial her father is, I don't think him doting on her would even be worth a speckle of dust.
Yes! I agree with what you say but even if the father knew that Miyo had the special ability he still wouldn’t give two shit about her or try to save her from his wife and child because he loves his wife and felt responsible for leaving her to get married to Miyo mother so he basically staying ignorant to her abuse just to make it up to his wife.
I’m also trying to hear their reason on way they believe the mother choice was dumb. I think it’s really smart cause no one knows not even the father, step mother, or half sister. Knows about her ability so the mother did an amazing job protecting her daughter. Even though the mother couldn’t save her from the abuse she at least saved her from the hardship Miyo would have encountered if people knew her ablity.
Yeah I agree too, I think reading to make revenge stories made me oblivious to circumstantial bullshit. I feel bad for her and I want the ml to put the family where they belong

I am guessing miyo is the one who used her ability on herself to create those nightmares and doesnt know about it...or the ones who is following our dear danna-sama is from her mother's side and they were the ones who made her dream those nightmares but i still think miyo is the one who is making herself see the nightmares. Poor baby needs to have a nice sleep (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
