I can't believe I'm seeing an MC from MY COUNTRY AAAHHHHHHH in a Yaoi of all places eeeeeee. And it's not stereotypical or patronising. There's swahili and culture, even pop culture (the movie Luca talks about was Rafiki, which translates to friend, came out in 2018 and was extremely controversial, even got banned from playing in cinemas). Also in case anyone was wondering, Luca's food preferences are mainly a Maasai thing lol, there are several communities in Kenya and though I(not a maasai) could never drink blood, it's sort of a staple in the community. I'm just so happy i don't even know what to say, I literally have no criticisms, apart from not every Kenyan or African dude has a huge dick lmao, that's for sure. And Mako is so cuteeeeeee, I love this so much I think I'm gonna track down the author just to thank them for the representation. You rarely see black people in manga, let alone yaoi manga with an African, and specifically Kenyan, even identifying their community, as a MAIN CHARACTER, and with honest, beautiful description of their background. I'm gonna cry ┗( T﹏T )┛
