i'm so with you. it's always been a problem but i think authors are seeing how well these stories are performing and following suit -- chasing the bag, as one could say. it's frustrating bc stories with dubious/dark plot material are of course not inherently bad, but the way "romance" and smut webtoons tend to be written including these materials are almost entirely fetishistic. like sorry girl but no i am NOT getting off to this young man repeatedly screaming "no" while being taken advantage of and told he likes it actually >u<

90% is slop now but it sells really well.. i dont know why every garbage story is being uploaded on here though. normal porn is illegal in korea is banned so it makes sense why it‘s popular over there, but who‘s buying it and uploading it all here on mangago?
this site used to be so different in 2016 i really miss it. especially yaoi mangas are hard to find nowadays

i definitely noticed a shift in the kind of webtoons/manwha finding their way over here in the last few years, now that you mention it. i mean, don't get me wrong, there was always (gay) smut on here, but idk if it's just the kind of things being produced as you say, or if the user base of the site has slowly changed
