and he’s a prince. so lets say that he wins the war and becomes king/emperor. if he does marry kasia that would make her queen/empress and i really dont think that’s something kasia would want. she’s always been “free” in a sense and to be shackled by the responsibilities of queen or politics doesn't sit right with me.
Also because of her status as a commoner, to be with someone of high status like Tassel who's going to be emperor will bring her a lot of resentment as he's expected to have a well-bred lady to be his wife and be dutiful to Empress duties etc etc. The minister's even advised against marrying a commoner too as it was what had happened with Tassel's mother re resentment and all
i like that ernon is the ml,, like everything from tassel has always been one sided. kasia has always thought of him as a boss or someone of higher authority and never let herself get closer to him in an intimate way. but with ernon she’s completely at peace that even krone noticed (plus the way that kasia smiles around him is so adorable!!)
