Anyways, agreeing most people’s main complaint, I think the manga series was too short. It resolved too quickly. I feel like the plot could have been longer if what’s-his-face, the second son of whatever House, didn’t reveal everything to Mitsuru. What if that biter kept his identity hidden? What if he left a note in the dead lady’s hand? And what if... that note was what kickstarted Mitsuru to learn more about this unknown House *inserts name* is with.
Here are my endless questions. Who are the other Houses besides the Annaka one? What are all the rules and punishments these Houses enact and follow? How did biters come into existence as demihumen? Does blood type play an active role to how blood can be nectar? Yeaaah, I got a lot to wonder about.
My other idea is another what-if thought. What if the mangaka creates a sequel featuring the offspring of Anna and Mitsuru. We can learn way more in-depth about the Houses, the rules, and the system through their child/ren’s eyes. I entertained the idea of their child becoming a detective and/or a spy. I also *coughs* entertained the idea of their child falling in love with another biter... only to find out they already formed a symbiosis contract to a human with nectar blood. So much potential to build on.
Lemme say this on the record: I still enjoyed the story and art plenty. It’s interesting biters are not converted but born. I like how the characters’ eyes and body shift when shit’s going down.
And ideas along with questions.
