Can someone remind me why is the king lame and needs a cane to walk?

I can't remember exactly but he got into an accident and injured his leg which is why he needs a crane to walk.

It is because Noah's mother poisoned him in order to make Noah the crown prince, or som'n like that...

ok so Noah's mother was loved by the king but she was using him for power, which she felt she couldnt have since her son wasnt the heir to the throne, so she instigated a plot to poison the current king, which made his leg "lame".

It's also why Noah has always worked from the shadows to ensure his brother would be king, out of guilt. That's kinda what starts the plot also and why the seal in the beginning was hidden etc. I reread the whole thing recently lol
