I'm pretty sure it means that she admits defeat.
It means when a person admits that they are defeated. It should be something like the white flag of surrender.

yeap just like what everyone replied, its admitting defeat. She is worried about the crown prince's 'attention' (because shes worried Herrace and the other characters will die because of him), and wanted to find a way to 'announce' the whole society and he himself, that she does not covet the throne in a subtle but non suspicious way.
She does that to show that she has no intention of perusing the throne and that he wins it as to not draw attention to herself and become his target is pretty much what happened
Can some one explain the last page ? Like the admission in defeat part. Like is she saying she's defeated by him , or that she won't admit defeat? Pls explain I'm so confused lol (・–・;)ゞ
