Charlie is a brat, an ungrateful one at that, she doesn't neglect him, she works hard and nothing is missing his life, don't come to me saying it's his age, his entitlement is too off the charts, especially for a single parent household, and him talking about never going to and amusemwnt park... gods... he was insufferable. He used his father to keep her then BF away and then dimisses his father as soon as she is single again... Oedipus is strong here xD
FL shouldn't act so hostile all the time, it is tiring and every plan to get brownie points turning into smoke is embarassing, I have the impression that normal (not in an abusive one) divorced people are not that awkward, and opposing everything to spite, even good ideas is bad parenting
ML should have been clear from the start (he had no excuse to never hold his child either), ask and confirm everything with the mother rather than beliving in his son point black like that, how about sitting and talking while married too? You guys seem capable of that! (and oh gods... what is wrong with the authors? he was 26 when FL was 18??? She was barelly legal!! At least he did have conciousness to say it was not right in the past) and as FL said, what does he know about his kid?he just send gifts to have his favor... And why undermine their routine? at least talk about it what he can or cannot do, she's his legal guardian after all!!
