COULDNT HE JUST BE PATIENT-
He can’t wait. By the seal placed on him he has to make a baby before he can go back or is forcefully pulled back. The other option might be death but if that’s not an option he would be thrown into the reincarnation cycle. I think he went a little far by giving up his powers but I would had a hard time being patient too.
