The emperor has a ring he uses to control her father because he's afraid of him he also order him to kill his wife (not sure about this since i didn't finish reading the novel but someone told me from spoilers) that's why he was acting indifferent to his daughter, because he can't show any weakness to the emperor, anyway her father really cares even in the original lifetime.
About your spoiler i am not sure so i can't confirm what u said, i only read up to chapter 62 from the novel and up till now it didn't give the impression that her father knows the future, but it would be nice if what u say it true.
I’m not sure either I just read someone else’s comment who said they read the novel and that’s what happened. Also I know he cares ab her it’s clear that the king is using her against him bc she’s his weakness both in the original and the new timeline, I just meant that maybe if he remembers what happened in the past he’ll change his ways of how he treats her so if that situation happens again she won’t do the same thing? I know I didn’t explain it in my original comment but I know he never hated her.

It’s okk tbh I didn’t express my thoughts well. I kinda assumed it was obvious that the dad loved her and was being controlled so I didn’t mention that part. I was thinking more like since the situation for the dad is the same in the original and the new timeline, why is he acting differently if nothing changed? Like, he still needs to protect her so why isn’t he using the same method of pretending to hate her?
Like the only thing I can think of that changed is her dumping that other guy? If you know any spoilers about him please share bc I feel like he’s about to like kidnap her or do something bad

Well true but she actually changed her attitude and there's so much misunderstanding in this story that it's not impossible, but i'm with u, it's quite fishy.
for the novel there's only one English translation so far and it becomes very bad in the late chapters, i was only reading it because of curiosity but it's very bad that you might want to wait for a proper translation.

I read someone else’s spoiler who said in the original timeline that the dad was actually trying to save her and when she killed herself he went crazy and killed everyone and then asked the pendant to go back in time, so if it’s true that he’s the one who wanted to go back what if he remembers too??
