I've read the manga <3 so i didnt read the novel. There's this site that translates chinese Bl novels and they are so good and theyve got links there as well <3 i hope they won't mind me endorsing them lol

how bout blind concubine? it's also historical and pretty okay but i'm not that much into like as i am with prisoner of war. also, the mainstream HHYL.

it's better to read the novels, imo. FYJT manga has skipped so much the build-up and the emotions were lost so i only view the manga to see their faces. in a similar fashion, HHYL is kind of like that too but at least the manhua-ga tried to keep the same atmosphere but there's still a few scenes that cannot be just translated to manga. but the manga is very good too.

I haven't read the blind concubine yet. its on my list though :3

Yes. i feel that the manga kind of lacks some of the essence portrayed in the novel. the good thing about the manga is that we would be able to know how beautiful the characters are the way they are described in the novel. it kind of hard to imagine what they look like lol. i prefer war prisoner then FYJT though hehe

yeah. sometimes when i see the manga updates i end up re-reading the novel and then read the manga again so i can easily image what they were doing

heard of cold sands but haven't read it yet. i'm currently busy with my modern world chinese BL translated novels lol.

if you love war prisoner you'd probably love cold sands too :D and also captive prince has kind of have the similar plot twist. im looking for something similar right now but i cant seem to find any :(

only the ring finger knows is the first bl novel i've read. when i learned that there's a manga, i immediately went and read it. but the lovey-dovey scenes... it's just not the same. i cannot forget the kissing scene in the novel, it's so descriptive and sweet but it was not properly translated in the manga i got disappointed a little bit. (oh yeah. good thing this was mentioned. i'll mark this manga as read)

oh haha i remember reading the manga first then it suddenly turned out to be a novel in the succeeding chapters. it was also my first BL novel <3

i totally will! i'm always up for novels in that genre since i'm an asian period times fan and they are closely related. bonus points for being BL too what more can i ask.
