It's not like it was personal thing. Since he himself is 'dirty', maybe he never believed he can be loved by someone. Shirotani, in my opinion, is scared of 'love', and I blame his father and the bitch.
Now I wonder, since his father 'knows what Tadaomi is thinking', did he realised his son knew? And since I belive he's still alive (since there's nothing in Shirotani's apartament that says he's dead and theres no other relatives), Kurose will want to meet him.
