I'm going to take the guess (the only innocent one there is) that he asked her to buy some for her and told her his size.
The easiest answer is that as a Maid she cleans out the trash and sees what he buys and uses.
Not to mention she is probably also the housekeeper so she's the one who actually buys the stuff for the house. He's probably left notes for her of things he wanted her to buy. So she knows what all to restock.
