Exactly! I figured the reason when he returned to his home that he had all these accolades pouring out for him was because of his teammates. This certainly turns a trope on its head!
i think my fav thing about this manga is the relationship MC has with his buddies.
usually in these stories, either the MC returns to a much later time period and all of his friends are long gone or his "friends" were assholes that took all the credit without him. i enjoy that not only are his friends still alive and well but they also made sure he got A TON of recognition and his efforts were made extremely well known.
i really enjoy this story and find it immensely entertaining.
