i think the reason the last arc was delayed because of md being down. all the scanlation group are uplaoding there and since its down, they need to figure out how to upload the translations
anyway, looking back at this, I just realized, Su Luxia did great with her successor on that empress arc, its like she knew she would be back and groomed or educate him to the point he can recognize her even though she's opposite of the image of the empress

Um md being down have nothing to do with the updates on mangago. Not all scanlation group are from md. The scanlation group for this Webtoon from what i know only primarily used mangago. They always took weeks sometimes months to update this Webtoon. But yes since mangago was down march-April it also played a part of it taking a lot longer to complete the arc.
Definitely not groomed since she wasn’t getting close to him for sexually reasons. They had more of a teacher/student relationship then a mother and son. She was his guardian/teacher (I can’t remember if she was legally his guardian tho) but she did educate him well and also she spoke a certain way and little things she did reminded the emperor of who she used to be.

24 chapters 7th arc where she became a ghost. (Chapter 124-chapter 147)

22 chapters 9th arc where the pink haired female was plagiarizing/stealing people work. (Chapter 170- chapter 191)
25 chapters 10th arc was the last one when the female was hooking up with a lot of men. (Chapter 192- chapter 216)
23 chapters 11th arc and it is this current one. (Currently just chapter 217.)
There is also 3 more arcs after this one and then we will be up to date.
Just so everyone knows the 4th arc was the longest arc. The only reason why the last arc felt long is because of the slow updates. (Not blaming the translation team or anything since i know how much time it take to translate books for people to enjoy.)
