The original story stopped updating after the suicide and didn't show the father's perspective. As such, from the female lead's perspective, the father is someone who neglected/mistreated her for years and then gave her up. Also, what makes you think that she should know that the crown prince wasn't trying to kill her in the shadow room? She only knows him as a ruthless person, and he clearly stated to the guard that he was going to torture her in order to get a confession. His eyes and tone of voice were also menacing at the time. So again, why should she believe that he was going to save her?
Did she poison the princess, No, then why is she afaird. I guess from how I was raised when I read about people like this I just don't understand them. But if you're innocent you're innocent so why be afraid, I get it nobody believes you but the least you could have done is fight for you truth to be heard not kill yourself. How the fuck did you transmigrate in the novel world and still don't know that he father doesnt hate his daughter or in the normal world was the book written that bad that readers don't even know what was happening.
