I kind of agree but still, I think it's realistic. How would you react if you were isekaied into the movie Frozen, for example, and Olaf started being a huge fucking asshole. That'd be surprising. You'd wonder why Olaf's being like that when he was depicted as being such a bubbly, positive character. It's a tad annoying but give the fl's some slack.

I completely agree with this. Also, usually when we read novels, we ship the FLs and MLs right? Imo as a hardcore shipper it would be pretty hard to get over shipping them; I'd feel weird putting myself in between two characters I (supposedly) like.

I know I am not talking about the shipping and all but usually when the ml's clearly show interest in them they deny their feelings coz of the novel they read .... wouldn't ur feelings be hurt if you knew the reason for their rejection? Well because you’re already reincarnated as a side character or villainess that’s fated to die. So off the bat you’re an “unimportant character to the story.” Despite the isekai’d people do things in order to change their fate, it’s not as if it’s a sure thing that the ML will NOT fall for the FL of that world as a consequence of the isekai’d peraon’s actions.

It’s not unreasonable for them to want to help the storyline, that they know of, move along.

Coming to terms that you unexpectedly developed feelings for someone who you aren’t supposed to fall for because you’re trying to keep the original storyline together (ofcourse after surviving) is hard. You don’t know if you’re allowed to.

For example, what happens if after you’ve done what you were transported there to do and served your purpose, that you get transmigrated back to your original world? Or the thought of the PErson of Interest not being fully happy unless they’re with that “destined” person is a valid concern because since the book the transmigrated person read that the POI is destined for someone else for their complete happiness...it’s not far fetched and a realistic belief/train of thought.

However I do agree that transmigrated people, especially smart bookworm ones, should have reasoning or common sense regarding cause and effect. It’s strange that they’re shocked every time the story they know is changing...well no shit. You changed it so that you can live.

I think it's realistic to at least expect disbelief and denial, but sometimes these steps can be overextended. So I agree that sometimes the authors have a tendency of overcomplicating these reactions.

And sorry for putting shipping in the discussion even though you didn't put it in your post. I guess I just see a lot of posts similar to this and automatically replied to a post like that in my head, my mistake.

AHHH sorry if my comment came off as rude earlier that was definitely not what I meant. The word choice may have been off, but I just thought it was funny.
